"This site is dedicated to the tales, the accomplishments, the leaders and the legends of the disability community in the City of New York. It is a little-known but ever-evolving chronicle as old as the City itself. Here you will find profiles of the pioneers of the past and present, the sites of great human rights battles, stories of struggle, persistence and eventual success. The New York City Disability Rights Movement is the work of generations past, present and future."
